Has anyone else had problems getting Mr Gasket/Holley fuel lines to seal? I've tried a few of them now, and they always leak like a sieve. I'm talking about the ones that connect to both float bowls of a Holley 4150/4160. I don't want to crank them down any harder 'cause I don't want to strip the fittings. I'm not using any sealer on them. They seem to leak between the nut and the line, not around the threads. Any suggestions? Below is the type of line I'm talking about. Thanks in advance.

I use 'em and don't have much problem.
I did have a brandy new one on the galaxie that leaked, and switched to the old one and had no problem.
So then I pulled the old one and checked it out for differences, I discovered that there was no chrome on the flare.
I slid the nut back as far as I could and sanded the devil out of the new one and put it back on. Didn't leak.
I don't know if the chrome is the problem or I just got it right the second time.
Worth a try.
I never use sealer on a flare fitting.

It was made in such a way that there isn't any chrome on the flared end of the tube itself. That was my thought too till I checked it.

If you have a leak between the nut and the line it sound to me like your not getting a seal on the flare and they need to be tightend more. Just be careful.
