Its probably been covered before but I'm looking for some cool ideas to use for an overflow bottle/container for the rad in my '36 coupe. I haven't got much room to mount it so I'd appreciate some ideas on mounting too. Thx

Try one of those old aluminum canteens . I picked up a couple at a yard sale , 2 for .75 cents . Drill out the cap incert your hose and mount it up .Cheap and easy .

I am using a Jack Daniels bottle mounted in a modified bicycle water bottle frame bolted to the inner fenderwall. If the bottle breaks, we " make" a new one.

Any old bottle will work, pop bottles look cool and you can use a wine cork for a stopper with a hole drilled in it for the tube. Set it on the frame next to the radiator and hold it with a hose clamp.--TV I saw a Jim Beam bottle used this way, looked cool.

I've got an old liquor bottle that I plan on using. It's brown and shaped like a flask. I'm not sure how I'm going to mount it.

For my HAMB dragger Rambler American I used a Dr Pepper can "soldered" to the a/c bracket with hi-temp silicone. Got me a tenth in the 1/4...

If your going drag racing, NO GLASS. I used a piece of pipe with a screw on cap plug and drilled and tapped for a petcock for drainage for the bottom and another screw on plug cap with a hole drilled for the hose on top. Welded on two tab brackets on the side of the pipe and installed on radiator brace. Hardly noticable and passes tech inspection.

You're right...it was just covered a few days ago. I've been traveling.
Thanks for the suggestions. Will let you know what I come up with.

I have an old 40mm gun shell for mine. I soldered in a brass freeze plug with holes drilled in it where the bullet used to be, made a couple simple mount tabs from the grill shell mounts and clamped it in.

I'm puttin an old paint gun cup on mine....even using the clamp on lid and the feed line...it's got a fitting on the end, so you can even run a length of hard line to it...mounting it up should be easy, and so is emptying it....

I went a little different route. I had a long aluminum dissacant tube off an old 60's chev p/u aircon unit that i cut one end off with a tubing cutter , pulled the guts out off it , and sleeved it for a nice tight fit back on. It already had the tube coming out the side for hose hook up and i went over it with a piece of 150 for a brushed yet not techy look.

It's a piece of 2" pvc, capped and zip-tied to the core support. It's scuffed and primered black like the body, so it's invisible.

The easiest way and the lightest(for drag cars) is a bicycle water bottle and a cage. Knock out the center of the water bottle(where it pops up) and the hose fits right down inside.
