OH, but the honor you're missing by not being in that comercial.

At least someone offered I guess, not likely anyone will ever offer to feature anything I got. Unless of course its one of those ya gotta crush 'em spots for the voters.

I can't get over how some feel the privelege alone is enough. I have been asked to have my motorcycle in a shoot before, also for free.. right...... no thanks.
Oh, and yorgatron, I love the link on your statement. I feel the same way man..

So far, the 62 has been in four weddings.
When asked what I charge, I always reply, "No charge, I am just honored you chose me"

The least I have been given is $20.00. One couple wanted me to drive them around while the wedding party moved from the church to the place the reception was being he3ld. I agreed, of course.
The groom slipped me $50, and the Bride's father gave me another $50.00 plus a guest round of golf at a local Golf course.
I, even have a photo of the Couple with the car.

If asked again, I will be happy to accomodate.
You just never know what will happen.

When I was a working musician I would get calls all the time for grand openings, etc.. We also got called for fundraisers and charity events. My rule of thumb was if it was a for profit business,as in a grand opening, I got paid. If it was for charity I took it on a case by case basis. I have no problem saying no. A lot of the charity stuff I did got us a lot of paying gigs. What goes around...!

sounds good, but it's almost an invite for an audit. don't ask me how I know.

I once rented Foiled Manor in Mpls. to Best Buy for a commercial. they arrived at 7 am, took over the house with lights, dollies, sound equipment, craft services, 3 semi trucks, personnel, etc. 'til sundown and I got 750 clams. plus Percy Strother played on my front porch.

I guess you could be proud that people thought enough of your car to want to put it in a commercial.

The only thing other people say about MY car is...
"It'll look good when it's finished." and
"What color are you going to paint it?" and
"It's a NICE START."

No commercial offers yet.

"Do you need us to call a tow truck?"

"Uhhh, can we get that THING towed away?"

"Theres something nasty dripping out of that... vehicle... of yours."

"What WAS that before you, or somebody started messing with it?"

"You... PAID money for that?"

"You... actually DRIVE that around?"
