we got a ton of work done o STEVIEDS 59 wagon, on fri sat and sunday, we: put on exaust, front shocks, sway bar links, cut 2 coils out of the front, 1-1/2 out of the rear, put a new starter in bat cables, rewired the entire rear end of the car, put front tires on it, primed the front clip and passenger side, put a new carb, cap rotor and plugs in it and made it rum correctly. so just a bit done!

any ways, i also got a bit done an the 32, i got the body back on so i could finish the steering and some other few miinor things, then back off it comes! heres an over all pic

heres the column mounted, i fliped the shifter on the left side of the column, some old timers round my parts said they use to do that so their babe could get closer to em!

hopefully it will be, in primer of course!, my house refi went through and i ended up getting some cash back so i can afford all the necissary parts fo it, so i think i can do it.

What steering box are you using? Starter still on the left side or did you move it?
Pix of your steering arrangement?

Cool you made a Necker Shifter! Show more pics if ya got more of the set up. Did you use a Ford Column?

starters still in the same place, i used a nova (68-73) manual steering box (twin to a vega only bit bigger) the buicks have plenty of room where it goes so it didnt get in the way, i think this is the only other pic i have, i modified the stock 40 coloumn with a bushing in the end and change all the shift linkage so only the one lever worked, then use a gm style cross shaft from the trans over to the frame. with a lever off that for the rod coming from the column to go to.

Aha, you put the box under the motor mount tab. I guess the lengt of the pitman arm dictates the location. Thanks !

Titus, since you offered, please post some more pics of the Wagon. Also, you're using a Switchpitch tranny behind the nailhead in the coupe, right? So does the linkage off the steering column engage that ST-400 tranny correctly, or are you still debugging it? I'd like more details on that, if you'd care to elaborate.
