Just wanted to post a public thanks to the HAMB's most generous host. Radshit opened his house, his shop and most of all, his kitchen ....... to all hamber's.

He was out a load of money and materials and I think this shouldn't go unnoticed. He took a week off from work to prepare the shop and pick up the car from Colorado.

Hats off to Rad, Mrs. Rad. and grandma Rad, who fixes a mean batch of fajitas.

Thanks Rad....you are one of a kind.

CAN I GET AN AMEN?

RADSHIT went WAY above and beyond on this one.

Besides thanking him I would also like to thank his entire family for their UNMATCHED hospitality.

How well do you suppose Fajitas would FedEx?

I'm confused???? How is radshit out money??? How much is he out?

The only condition of any HAMB event is that money is taken out of the equation by either (1)the student or (2) the mass of folks that attended.

I don't mean to be putting my nose where it doesn't belong, but I don't like to hear that it cost one of our members a lot of money to teach a class. That ain't good.

I'm wanna give major props to Radshit and his wife for the hopsitality. Not only was much accomplished on the stude but I learned tons from everyone envolved.

As for costs I'm planning on sending Radshit some cash to help recoop the costs on materials envolved as soon as he hits me with the tab. I was told that the tubing that he bought for plan B will be used on another project. I a

I can't say enough to everyone that lent a hand. Thanks ever so much. I couldn't have done this myself.

Ryan, Neal was good enough to grill enough food for ALL the hambers that were there. That includes pop, water, beer. That's a lot of groceries. He filled his mig bottles, cutting torch bottles, wire for the mig, cutting wheels for the chopsaw etc.

I know my trio kicked in to help with the costs....not sure if anyone else did. I REALLY hope someone else did or he may not be as receptive next time this kinda help is needed.I am sure Neal would never ask for cash....he's much too cool for that.

If you mean me, Root say so. I will be sending Neal some cash as well as Rashy for the cutoff disks for the chopsaw. I'm not about to let anyone get screwed on this. If you laid out cash on this let me know. I'll get it to you. It may take some time but I'll get it to you.

Nope, you owe me nuthin.

The money I kicked in was for Rad and Mrs. Rad.
I just wanted to pay Rad for saving me a night's stay in a motel and help reimburse him for the food I ate.

also wanna thank Radshit...kickass projects and staying in his badass casa.and for hooking me up with the yblocks and great food...and to Root for bringing them to Flat-Top Bobs.and to everyone else that was cool out there....sucks but we had some badluck in the dgnwgn...first right out of Radshits she took a hit in a pothole and the pass side door cracked.. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif.then right before the border we lost battery power.it is so dark and cold at 1 am in the middle of Texas and New Mexico...luckly we pop started it about 3 times and made in back home to Texas http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.and then that was all she wrote and we hung out on mile marker 4 for about two hours until a tow truck took us 70 something miles to a amarillo autozone....and yeah...and even though they didnt have the parts....the guy at the "zone" was being really really cool....but they dont carry voltage regs or alternators for studebakers.the wife drove up and we recharged the battery at autozone...and since it was day jake managed to limp her back to lubbock.hopefully he can get his alternator worked out before thursday so she can again go to the roundup.all and all it was a good time.just suck...i felt bad for jake.his car is his only ride not in a buildup process....and she treats him good.but even a lady stumbles sometimes. and hell...we'll do it again. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Wow Neal you are definietly one of the most generous guys that I know. You continue to amaze me with your patience and your enthusiasm to help others out. I was first introduced to your greatness when you helped me out with my 51 Chevy chop. Seeing you in action again as the killer host for an interesting project was awesome. We are all lucky to have you as a friend! You are a definite asset to the HAMB.

Thanks Neal for all the fun, food, and hard work!

I took some pics from the event that I will post soon...

I just got home about an hour ago from the weekend in New Mexico. What a trip! Everybody was great at Radshits and made the "new guy" feel welcome. Mrs. Rad was the best- letting a bunch of car nuts invade like that. She deserves a trophy.

The hospitality was great, the grub was first rate. THE BEST weekend I've had in a long time. Getting to put some faces with the HAMB names makes it all a lot more real.

And all of the New Mexico freebies were a nice perk. (Including new ones on the drive home- but that's another post).

Looking forward to the next gathering.
