for example, the thread for 2006 bonneville pictures, those are some big ass pictures! why everytime i try to post some, do i have to reduce their size so much?

You know, I don't even know how to post a pic to the HAMB server...

One thing you can do is save the pic as a JPEG instead of a BMP.

I just took a 646 kb .bmp and saved it as a JPEG with a size of 55.7 kb.

This didn't change the physical size at all.
