The Harpoon

Hello, I am the Doo Wop Kid's oldest brother. I've been lurking for a while, then Doo Wop registered me so here goes: I've been pinstriping in the LA area now for about 6 years. I had a pow-wow with Ed Roth at the first RFR I went to in '98 at which he gave my "the Harpoon" nickname. My daily driver since I was 16 has been my 1964 Thunderbird which has had at least 100,000 miles that yours truly has logged on.
I like to paint Chopper tanks, mainly for my friends in the Sinners. Pinstriping is a lot of fun and so is the screenprinting. Many of you may have the poster I designed/printed for George Barris of the Dragula racing the Munster Koach(everything with a K). Or are wearing the vlv shirt with the bubble-top I produced
Along with the T-Bird I have a few projects: 1956 Packard Clipper 2drht, 1963 Pontiac Catalina 2drht, most of a 21 "T" roadster w/flathead on "A" frame, and a chopper project(HD).
The Catalina is the only one that runs though, and if anyone really likes Packards well, mine could be yours.
And just because I am posting on a saturday nite don't mean I am lonely!

Well let me be the first (after your bro) to welcome you out of the closet. From the looks of your rides you've got no reason to be lurking. Save some pics for the Friday nite art show:)

I've seen that t-bird buzing around different shows near LA before... I really dig it. Does it have bags or hydro's? Seems like it sat lower. Great striping, sweet work!

Harpoon-
I took another look at your bird and you are right about that "bump" in the side -it is farther forward than I remembered when were talking at the bbq. The thought of camino-ing one of those is pretty interesting - maybe you should post more photos and let the photoshoppers give it a try.

I had to skip the SoCal meet in Long Beach (4 day old baby at home). I just wanted to say, I took a bunch of photos of your work when I saw it at Paso this past year. I really thought it stood out with a tighter type of grouping of stripes. Very sharp. Keep up the good work. I hope to meet you some day and maybe have you lay a brush on my 63.
the black car with red striping. i think i just saw it on tv. i aint saying what channel or nuffin.
and welcome, to the hamb.
