Here is what I did the last week:

I designed my business cards.

Great stuff! I really like the 1st version business card even though all the info isn't on it.Love the cartoony girl;definitely different.

Here is a work in progress of sorts:My new house sign.Kind of busy but what the hell! I'm mounting it on a pivot so it can spin around in the wind(which we get a lot of here).

Mostly production work this week;a Briggs bodied Model A more door and a pearl Cadillac.Headed out this afternoon to do an 80's Malibu(fix some graphics on the sides).

Got a couple more pieces of vintage spray equipment yesterday.Another Dupli-Color touch up gun.Had two bottles of touch up paint(all dried up naturally)with it;one for a 1939 Oldsmobile(Debonair Maroon)and the other for a 1941 Packard(Berola Blue metallic);and a 1930's era touch up gun run by air from the spare tire.

The Safari is down for awhile;the gas tank is being repaired and I'm installing new rear springs(something I've been wanting to do for three years now).Hopefully it will be back together for the BDK on Sunday.

Wow, zombie, thats REAL cool. i wish someone would take some of these neat ideas and excecute them...hell i wish i didnt have ADD enough to attemp it.

from the sheetmetal perpective it looks like a lot of work to the front... im thinking the econoline winshield is not that layed back but damn it would be worth it...

id make it another color though but the rear skirt treatment looks perfect,

thanks paul, and caffine. i definitely think a color change with some fogged panles would be a better paint choice. i did lay the windshield back a little. i was going to have an early blower, with a cool 60s scoop poking up between the front seats, but my old lady kept telling me this was one of the ugliest things i had ever come up with so i stopped working on it. ha ha.

na its more of a unique kustom to have a blower like that. the back of it, above the fin looks too much like a suburban or something, maybe a slant sweep chop to it or something differnt but other than that, its perfect.

GV, I love your striping, especially on the leather! Could you tell me, do you do anything to prepare the leather before you do your striping - or do you just go at it with the one-shot? I am assuming that you do use one-shot. If not, what do you use? When I had some coats done, the leather just seemed to absorb the paint and it was necessary to go over each line several times in order for the paint to show any vibrancy. A large pain in the arse. Thanks for any help you can pass along.

G.V., I really like what you have done on that jacket. When I talked to you in Dewey, I had no idea you were so talented. Of course, everytime I take the time to look at a thread like this closely, I am just amazed at the great work all of you do. John, Nothing special, just wipe it down with an ammonia free spray cleaner to get any oils off. Yes it's One Shot, depending on the color I sometimes have to go over it twice. Yellow seems to be the worst. If you let it thicken on the pallet a bit it helps as well.

Here's a few things from the art factory....

#1. another bad guy painting. These "bad guy" paitings that I'm into were inspired by an avatar on here. I think its JDUbyas. Obviously his avatar is of the "Snidely WHiplash" character from Dudley Doo right...(I think).

Excellent show this week!

Here is the digital art that I need to cut into a block and print. The plan is to have this along with about 7 other NEW posters for the drags. Hopefull I will be able to take a total of 16 posters with me this year!

The year was 1961 and back then I was into cutting out stuff and putting them into a scrap book, mostly photos out of Hot Rod Magazine, you remember the green pages, here it is 45 years later and I found the scrap book.

I dont know who did the orginal art work on this A pick up (in brown) but I ran it thru photoshop and did a few updates and repainted it blue. Not too bad
for a 45 year old Hot Rod, a genuine traditional one.

Another slow day at work, another pencil doodle to pass the time. I'm gonna shoot to have this and a few others inked and painted for next week.
