Here's the latest on the show at the ranch.
It's set up for Saturday and Sunday, but come Friday night if you want. If you get into town and can't find us, my cel # is 715-492-9353(WELD) and SCALLOP53's is 920-960-7118.
WE GOT PIG! Arrangements have been made to have a guy roast a 150-200 lb. pig, and I'll put some dead deer on the cooker, too. The food will be included with the entry fee of $10, and will include each occupant of every car.
WE GOT BEER! We're gonna have a beer trailer there. PBR and Bud lite. It'll be $5 and all you can drink.
WE GOT BIKES!!! The kids fishing contest will be on Saturday, and those who catch the biggest fish (Largemouth Bass) will go home with a brand new bike. One each, boys and girls.
Everyone is welcome to fish, but the contest is only for the kids. There are two ponds to fish in, and because it's private land, NO LICENSE IS REQUIRED. I took about a dozen rods and reels down this weekend, but if you have room to bring your own, please do. My biggest was 24 1/2", about three years ago (released).
WE GOT PONIES! Dad's got some really nice ponies, and every kid will get a chance to ride.
WE GOT PRIZES! There will be contests (Flamethrowing,Pipe rapping, Spark plug changing and Piston toss), and Saint Wire has generously donated a complete wiring harness for your next project ($150 value +/-), which will be drawn from tickets given to each car entrant. Additional tickets can be purchased, as well.
WE GOT A TRAIN! Dad built the coolest snakelike train thing to pull behind the 4-wheeler. Kids love this thing.
WE GOT CAMPING! Bring a tent and spend the night (2 nights if you want). There's skids for a bonfire, and the porto-potty will be there Friday. SPARKY is setting up a monster tent (40x60) and the indoor arena is big enough if we should have to move inside.
WE GOT SWAP STUFF! I took a load down, and I'm sure my dad will have some (maybe even a '30/'31 Plymouth tudor...rolling project). I think SPARKY has a nice SBC, to sell, and SCALLOP53 might have some 'Vette stuff, also. (Wait till you see SCALLOP's mom's Custom Graham... Beee-u-tee-ful!!!)
I'd like to thank Dan (SCALLOP53) and Scott (SPARKY54) for all their efforts toward this thing... Thanks men!
