through the MAIN leaf on my stock transverse Model A rear spring?

I was inserting teflon sliders. Being the DAMN FOOL that I am, I drilled the bottom leaf instead of drilling the one above!

Does anyone know if this will increase the likely hood of cracks/ fractures etc in the mainleaf?

Cheers

On a side note, if anyone could tell me how to insert a moving image into the lefthand column of my posts like some of you guys have I'd much appreciated

Stresses around a hole are 3x greater than in an undrilled part.
I would buy a new main leaf.

And the AVATAR needs to be a .gif file hosted by a site that'll allow you to link it to the HAMB........or so I understood from Denise's explanation in another post!!

This would also explain why I don't have an moving avatar! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
