I remember seeing posts regarding the old shopping cart dolly's in the past.. What kind of beefing up of this frame is needed, if any?? Do they roll around acceptably?? I assume the older the cart the better (stronger built). Any info/feedback appreciated.
Thanks..

naw, just chop the top off and set the mill on it. the bars will bend nicely until it is supported pretty well. I use to have three or four of them before I moved to my small garage.

Grim, your description is exactly as the wife describes me...
I like to buy furniture dollys from Harbor Freight. They have casters on all wheels and are rated at 1000Lbs. Sometimes get them for $10. I make a cradle out of ply to sit the engine on.

There's a 455 Olds/400 turbo sittin on one in my back room. Rolls anywhere I point it.No Mods at all after basket decapitation.
I scout old country junkyards and scrapmetal recycling places for mine. Cheap tech(why didn't somebody post this last week?) http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
