Does anyone know where I can find out the standard main & rod journal sizes for a Chrysler 331? Were should I look for cracks on the block, main webs, etc? Anything else to watch for?
Thanks

Standard for a 331 Hemi would be
main 2.5000
rod 2.250

Hot Heads (http://www.hothemiheads.com/index.htm) has more info if you need it.

you could also look at classic Hemi (http://www.classichemi.com/331hemi.shtml) Everything you are looking for should be here.

You can use 400-455 Pontiac rods (big ends are same size have to resize wristpin.) Have been told sbc pistons will work but not sure which as wristpin height varies.

On 2 of the blocks I have the lifters are frozen in the bores. Saw a couple on Ebay last night same way.

Email or pm me if you want to talk some more. I'm not an expert but I have found some interesting stuff on the net.
