I hope you buffed the axels in a drill with fine wet sand paper and some compound......

I hope you shaved the inside of the wheels for weight reduction. Turned in a drill and a sharp exacto.

Hurry ther is time...

Ideally, you'd ballast the car to the class weight limit.
If there are no scales, then you need to be heavier.
Mounting the ballast as far back and as high as possible to maximize the potential energy.

But my favorite trick is to build a little twist into the chassis.
The axles are exactly parallel when viewed from above,so the car will go straight.
But viewed from the front, one wheel will be just a little higher so it only runs on 3 wheels.
All you need is .010",and you have reduced your rolling resistance by 25%. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
As it runs down the track it will rock diagonally,
the tire in the air will come down, which raises the opposite tire.
Part of the time,it's only running on the 2 diagonally oposite tires,
so you have reduced your rolling resistance by 50%. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
If you build in too much twist,it will run on 3 wheels all the time.

And No,it's not cheating.

Sedan Dad -

He's a webelos! he just loves it. Well off we go we got her tweaked and full of graphite.

Our pack has awards for go as well as show. He hopes to be fast but if not a trophy for design would be fine.

Thanks all.
