I was wondering what Brake Master cylinder to use on my A to convert to dual line. Some say corvette and some say granada. Have yall done this and what did yall use? Thanks from Rusty in Texas.

I was told to use a 70 Mustang (drums front & back) with early Ford brakes. Car's not driving yet though, so can't give you a report.
The odd size line nuts are hard to find locally though, so go to Inline Tube (see ads in mags) for them.

Tman has a brake book with all important bore diameters and whatnot. He told me early juice brakes work with a Mustang cylinder. You're looking for a one inch bore "drum drum" MC.

I used a 67 Mustang master cyl on the deuce. That was the first year of the dual mustang cyl that replaced the fruit jar and they were drum/drum. Works just fine with the 40's drum brakes and no power booster.

I used '68 ford wagen on my roadster. Others have used '66 f-150. Most important is a drum-drum with a 1" bore. Anything with that configuration should work just fine. Proofs in the stopping. Good Luck, dug

I used a '39-'48 cylinder. It is matched to the wheel cylinders and works great. I'm sure the dual mustang is fine also.
