Didn't get much done this week, so here is the progress on my paintbox so far...I got tired of what I had on it before so I sanded it all down....put some metalflake paint on it....some stickers....and some stripes....and here is what I got so far.

Here is just a detail shot of the flake...it only looks like this when the sun hits it...otherwiae it just looks like a gunmetal gray.

Here's a couple of pics of some work I did in a customer's garage(toy store is a better description).He has some really great rides(a Deuce highboy,a 34 Cabriolet flamed by Dennis Ricklefs,a chopped Deuce 5 window,a track T with a Pinto sporting Webers,a 39 Coupe with wide 5's,and an Amphicar)as well as this kickass shop with an original unrestored 1947 Seeburg jukebox.

Anyway I did a few doors around the shop(bathroom inside and out,shower,and front door)as well as a couple toolboxes and the refrigerator.

Also a mini skateboard I bought at a yard sale and painted up for the auction this weekend.

Not looking to get my head torn off by any real stripers or dedicated fans (of which I am one) of pinstripers.

I still haven't figured out how to shake reliable "for hire" lines out of any of my brushes yet.

This is a customer requested rehash of an older design for a trucking co. t-shirt.

It's a shadow box that had an ugly bird pic in it, I had to buy a new clock and striped it inside and out and added a Roth tribute . And a couple a' panels I finished .

Here's a WILD model A coupe recently finished by Art Harness, you may have seen his green A pickup in various mags (rod and custom, ckdeluxe I believe as well, etc.). The Harness clan have the hotrodding gene for sure, and if you've been to a car show in kansas chances are you've seen their work.

Did I mention there are alot of stripes? The interior is all formed sheetmetal that was paint White with Silver metalflake... pinstripes are light blue, yellow, and metallic silver (which is hard to see in the photos).

Here's a 'sample' I did for a friend. He's got a Tiki/surf themed Falcon wagon he wants wood grain painted on it. This is all one-shot on a piece of 8x10 inch plexi. The colors aren't right on, I just wanted to show him what the wood grain looked like.

I know this is kind of a request.

but i was curious if any one can pinstripe a question mark?

I love the Indian Larry question mark and i think it would be real bad ass if some one could like do a pinstripe of it or make a pinstripe theme with it.

i suck at drawing and pinstripe so that’s y I ask :p

If its good enough ill get a tattoo of it :D

Great show everyone!!!
Haven't posted anything in the last few weeks as I've been feeling my shit ain't up to par with the rest of you folks.:(
Ryan's editorial on hand painted lettering got me to rethink all this 'computer' art. I was thinking of getting a Photoshop or Illustrator type program to play with to 'tighten up' and color my art. Looking into it, I'm too cheap!!! hahaha!! Also just don't have the time.

I should have a few things for next week though.:D

Friday Art Show is about seeing everyones art, good or bad, the best way to improve your skills is to show your work, and see what people think. I've gotten more than a few invaluable tips on making my work better from some guys I truly respect as artists, and I would have missed out by sitting back and watching...

SO STEP RIGHT UP!!!!!!!!!!! lets make next week's Friday Art Show one for all the new guys to show off!
