I've been lurking here for a while, so it's time to do my intro!
My name is Nick, but many know me as Malcolm.
My current ride is a '62 Galaxie 2dr post, 'bagged, 390/auto. Past rides - '58 Ford Custom 300 2dr post, '57 Ford Custom 2dr Post, '64 Galaxie 500XL (still have), and '67 Galaxie 2dr HT.
I made the trek to the LSRU in Austin earlier this year with a few other RoadBurners and had a great time. We will definitely be back next year! Enjoyed the LiveFast Omaha show recently and will be at Americruise next weekend. If you see the car pictured below, stop by and say "Hi"!
A '53 Ford owned by fellow HAMBer Tim just spent a week in my driveway and I was hoping it would stay here permanently! :D
See ya on the road-
Malcolm
Welcome to the HAMB.

Hey, welcome to the HAMB.
Whats the suspension set up on the 62 ? Leafs ? links ?
Pics ?
Im still yet to see a 60's Galaxie with a 2 or 4 link, i have this obsession with it :D

It still has leaves in back, with one leaf removed (smallest on bottom) and "helper" 'bags installed between the spring and frame, just behind the axle. I also added 2" lowering blocks to get it down where I wanted it. I didn't want to remove another leaf because there were only two left - the main leaf + 1.
Photos show my setup (don't mind the dirt, I drive it ALOT) and one I saw at the Des Moines Goodguys with a 4-link setup (w/ a newer rear end - 8.8?).
I bought a kit from that large air suspension company. They also now sell a "bolt on" 4-link retrofit kit for 60-64 Galaxies, among others. I will tell you more via PM

I do go to Flashbacks quite often on Wednesday nights. I've seen pics of your car here on the HAMB, so I'll look for you the next time I'm down there.

Suprised I've never seen you down there at Flashbacks. Here I thought I had seen every car that has been down there. I have a purple T-bucket and a red 58 Plymouth (NOT CHRISTINE!). I know HotRod55 and we are in the Bastards Car Club. We are working on getting it off the ground. We'd love to have a fellow HAMBer to hang out with.
