My wife has been dead set against me having anything with less than four wheels. She walked into the garage today and saw "El Pequeno Diablo". When she sarcastically asked what "that" was I said "beats the hell outta me" and kept welding.

She'll come around. That's why I love her. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hand-operated scrub brake will get a big ol' chrome socket for a handle.

I still need to get some spacers for the rear axle and a throttle grip. I may break down and have the engine tin and gas tank powder coated - I've already scuffed them up.

Jesse and OCC don't have sh!t on me. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Cool! Let me know how the brake works for ya'...I need to do something better for a brake on mine because the bicycle front brake isn't doing ANY good and I'm too cheap to spring for the disc set up. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Cool!! Is the rear sprocket in line with the clutch sprocket? Looks off center. I just ask because I'm about to tackle the rear axle on my mini. Got a closeup of the rear end??

The rear wheel is loose on the axle right now. I'm picking up some 3/4 ID tubing tomorrow so I can cut some spacers to hold it where it needs to be. The engine may have to slide over a bit too.

My digi camera doesn't take a pic at night (honestly, it is a POS) but I'll post a closer pic of the rear tomorrow after work.

Nice work Harrison!

KnR---I have a scrub brake on mine and it works ok. The only problem I have is I'm running a slick on the back and the brake don't grip it very well.

Looks good!

Are those harbor freight dolley wheels, or honest2goodness minibike wheels?

Believe me, I wanted to run dolly wheels ($10 each) but they looked really cheap. They didn't look like anyting that would hold up to extended, or hard, use. These are the real deal. About $60 for the pair + $10 for the rear sprocket.

We ran those HF wheels & tires on our go kart and they would hold up to abuse but wear real quick doing Rockford slides and donuts on the asphalt http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Now we run them on the front of our race mowers and they hold up great and even take alot of sideways abuse plowing thru turns.
