stripping tech tip - ( not the T & A type!)

In warmer weather when using paint stripper on a panel
ya gotta be quick or it tends to dry fast ( lessening the time to soften and work the paint chemically). To get a deeper penetration of the stripper on hot days cover the panel with a damp newspaper after applying the stripper.
It stops the evaporation of the stripper.

I've used cheese cloth over with good results.

I like to use the plastic dry cleaner bags. The real cheap plastic painter tarps from the hardware store work too. The cheaper the better. The heavier ones don't cling as well as the "junk" ones.

You get the same effect with saran wrap.
