Sorry, I'm Tia Patty, otherwise known as Patty from Chicago, who posted on Rambler window screens without making a formal debut:o and, judging from the response, I have made a faux pas so, please, pardon me. My boyfriend Mike and I are Rambler people, he had a '64 Classic 660 (actually the car was the reason we met, he came in to the library where I work to ask for a wiring diagram--I got him the diagram and he got me) which got hit so then he bought a '66 Classic 770 and has been obsessing over it for a while now. Since I am a librarian, he is constantly coming up with stuff for me to research. In the accessories booklet, we saw the screens and he decided the car would not be complete without them. I appreciate the responses to my post, you're right, Bill, it is kinda cool, cooler than any high tech accessory you can get nowadays. Also, you guys are pretty funny, it's lucky I can take a joke. Dave, your post was hilarious, please don't tell my boyfriend about the BBQ and picnic table accessories ;) or he will have me working day and night to get his hands on those, too. I didn't realize this board is for '64s and older so I guess you probably won't be hearing much from me though I find the listening to be pretty entertaining. that's all for now, Patty

Howdy from Texas.

Since the board is focused more on pre-63 cars, you won't get much lover for anything later. Don't take it personal. Some people can be pretty harsh about it. A good all around board for later models might be hotrodders.com. That being said, welcome. Stick around, read a LOT and post a little. The search function is your friend.

Hey Patty,

Welcome.... The 64' Classic was my first car. It was a great car and bomb-proof. Hope you find a need to stick around...

Also, the '66 used a bunch of parts from the '64, so if you state questions about specifics like for example the 232 AMC 6, or 289 AMC V8 and dont state year you will be fine and not catch sh*t from people.

Adios

I drove a '64 770 in high school (mom's car). I loved that thing.

Welcome aboard Patty! I didn't know Tia meant Aunt! D'oh! LoL

66 isn't so bad when your talking Ramblers...they were always using older tech than the big three anyway and had some interesting styling going on.
Now if it was one of those "new" 66 Mustangs....:D hahaha

Best of luck on the screens!
