It just means that the moderators are tired of wasting bandwidth and they just want it to go away. You can't post anything additional to a locked post. No punishment for a locked post, but keep getting locked posts and see how long it takes to get banned.

A locked post is usually done for drama control or something so off topic it doesn't fit with the general theme of the HAMB

Oh and if it is a newbie thread getting locked it's usually because they are starting a thread about something that has been locked in the past.
