Wasn't gonna do it cause I already have my front end together, but I know I will never be happy till its drilled, so I am tearing it all back apart. Gonna drill my axle on the 28 and was wondering what size and how many holes to drill. Pics would be cool if ya got em.

The size is 7/8 and how many really is up to you... I measured to the center of the axle and then marked off every 3 inches each way... this gave me 11 total I think... cant remember how many. I used a drill press, 7/8holesaw and a shitload of cutting oil with it clamped in tight. Have fun and take your time... last thing you need is to muck up your axle with one offcenter hole as an eyesore.

although i've got a drilled axle for my project, i've never actually done the drilling on one. one thing i can say, though, is that they look way cooler if you chamfer every hole just a bit. just my opinion, though. i think i've seen just as many without chamfer as i've seen with.

a friend offered his magnetic drill, but I am gonna pull it to make sure that everything is marked and drilled where it is suppose to be

3/4" to 7/8" dia. Some axles are bigger than others.
You need to leave some webbing above and below the holes.
I think the new dropped and drilled axles come with 16 or 17 holes.
Judge accordingly.

I did 13 holes, for luck, and the outside four are smaller, 5/8 then 1/2"
I did one inch holes with a one inch space
