It's a total trip...

I got a hankerin' to hear "Bitchin' Camaro" so I called in to "Jones' Jukebox" (Steve Jones) and requested it on Tuesday. Found out later that Blood had done himself.

Before Tuesday, I honestly hadn't thought about the Dead Milkmen in years! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I remember seeing them on the big lizard tour back in the 80's.

On that particular night the milkmen got through about half of their set before the skins started pelting them with beercans and then chased them off the stage.

Bummer.

I only had one of their albums but must have played it a million times.

I think I'll drive out to the Bahamas...

This just sucks all the way around. First, I hear that Mojo Nixon is hanging it up for good, after one last show in Austin on the 20th...and now Dave Blood is gone. The cynicism that helped shape my teenage years is fading fast..

"If you don't got Mojo Nixon then your store could use some fixin'..."

Had em here in Oz with "Punk Rock Girl" and all that. RIP. Least he can jam with Joe Strummer, Joey Ramone, John Entwhistle and Keith Moon.
Now that would be a nice combo !!

Oh man, bummer. The wife and I listened to them for hours on a road trip last year. We had the whole bitchin' camero intro down. You know, "Hey Jack what's happening, rumor around town is you're thinking about going down to the shore" etc... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
