There must be a place that can cut and add on to stock wheels to widen them? Stockton Wheel swaps inners and outers, say they can't do it, don't have the compatable pieces. I haven't found any, I could do it myself, separation point is 14 1/8". I need 2 stock wide five 16X4" increased to 5.5" on the front side, for 7.50 tire http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif. The next step would be to to swap hubs and go to 5.5" pattern, don't wanna.
Oh yeah, and this time it should take less than a year and I would have to get SOMETHING back, empty box, hubcap clip?

Have you tried companies/workshops that make boilerpipes
or heavy duty piping. They usually have the equipment to
cut and reweld to any size.

Thanks for the connection, I called Tim Smith and it look's like a go so as soon as I score a cherry pair of wheels and get some cash I'll send them to him. As I recall he said he has done this since '74, gotta be an expert by now. I'll do one at a time and since I still have one mounted on a stock 4" I will post before and after comparison pictures.
