Anybody that races sprint cars has a tire groover and it only take a few minutes to easily cut a pattern in your tread. There should be plenty of racers in southern calif.

hahaha... too funny. Ok let me clarify, i meant to "cut" the side wall on the tire to expose the wide white wall underneath. This is done on tires that have a small white wall, or raised white letters. thnx

I'd be interested too, maybe we can get together and get a group rate? I love the look of my bias-plys, but I'd like some radials, and I just cann't afford "real" ones right now.....

Yeah that would be coo. I was looking for some used WWW tires but couldnt find jack. So I tried painting my tires, but little lines started cracking. Then I tried to grind my own white walls, but messed them up pretty bad. So I just painted those too. From far they look pretty good, but up close..well you can guess. So I figured this was the most inexpensive way to go. Maybe once i get my new cut WWW tires i wont be too embarased to hit up some of the meets.. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
