[1931chevy]

Hey just wanted to say hi I work on beetles and just got a 1931 chevy body for 600. Its missing the roof and back body. I don't know where to find out the type of car whether its a truck or sedan or... its nice thought its solid. will post some pics.

I'm not new here but I have not posted on this site before. My first 2 cars were 31 Chevies. # 1 was a 3 window coupe I spent 2 years restoring to OE condition. the wood was replaced piece by piece, the rust was repaired, the interior, weatherstripping, floorboards, window channels, etc, etc. I stripped every speck of paint off the body, then primed and painted it. The car was immaculate and won interior and paint awards in 1964-and I hated it. It was a labor of love/hate-I couldn't enjoy the POS!
Car # 2 was actually in better condition, another 3 window coupe that had been repainted with brush-on enamel every year for 30+years. My girlfriend convinced me to build a hot rod, the result was a chopped and channeled, Jag 3.8 powered, 6 straight piped POS that was so uncomfortable that you had to be in love with me to ride in it. It was crude, rude, fast, cool, and I was young and pretty so it was also popular. The Cherokee girlfriend deserves credit, but I don't know where she is, and won't use her name without permission.
