Didn't a HAMBER do that manual on here a month or so ago??
If any of you guys have the electronics, I've got the paper...
That's part of a circa 1947 series with books on V8, N type four, Six, and Twelve engines, transmissions&overdrives, carb and fuel system, generator/starter, and probably others I can't think of. I've got all the ones that were published (several more were promised, but we're still waiting for Ford to roll the presses...).
I think a library of basic early Ford data would be good to have here.
And how about Stromberg and 94 overhaul procedures too.

That was Mac who mentioned it was in process.

As far as putting it on HAMB, why bother? Images dont stay long in Techomatic.

I can help with getting what ever you have put up somewhere, I have a high quality scanner, PhotoShop 7 and a T1 Internet line.

286Merc - That Vanpeltsales website is an invaluable reference, and keeps me going at work, being able to listen to that flat motor purrr when the front page opens up.

(I don't like the burn out sound though.... gets me in trouble at work!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

Tell Mac THANKS!

Carl, It was 30roadster, here on the Hamb, who also has this on his site. It was done for the last tech week.
I scanned the images and changed them to pdf format for us to use.
I asked Mac if he was interested in using this link.
He decided to take my manual and clean it up more before putting it on his site. He also will be adding another I sent him, sometime soon. He did a hell of a job Really legible.
Here's 30roadsters link. 30roadster pdf manual format (http://www.webbed-toe.com/files/flatheadenginemanual.pdf)

Thanks for the kind remarks fellas. Thanks to Petejoe for providing the books to scan. The second book that was mentioned (includes trans, chassis, electrical, etc) was even more extensive than the engine manual. I chose to pick the data and pictures that I wanted for selective adding to the basic Ford Flathead V8 website, under their respective categories. Doing the engine manual was heavy enough! As always, I will continue to add drawings and new service info as I can.

Am still looking......I don't have the 49-53 Ford car or Mercury car manuals. I'd like to add those when I get a chance. If someone is willing to lend the books so I can scan them and format the work, I'll get that stuff up. Petejoe will attest....I return any borrowed materials promptly!
