That's pretty cool.

I have a question though. I don't quite understand the post that says Hammer Form in conjuction with the next pic. Can you elaborate? Did you create that shape and weld it in, or did you create that shape into the complete dash as a unit?

I wanted to recess the insert because the edge looks tinny and cheap, I do like the shape of it and the cool engine turned panel it came with.
Now that it is sunk in the dash like that ( by about 3/8" )it almost looks cast ( that edge gave away that it was stamped...)

Django, if you look at the pic before the hammer form, you can see that the center part of the lower lip ( that was a seperate piece I made with the shrinker/stretcher ) is not tack welded.
That is because the center of the flat part of the dash got cut out, so I could weld in the hammer formed piece.
That way the edge of the trim piece that holds the gauges is flush with the level of the dash, and the center part of it is sunk in.
