Howdy!

Been lurking for a few weeks now and really, really like what I see. Over the past 16 years Iv owned a few pre 65 stockers and a couple of customs. The last were my daily driver custom 64 riviera and a 19,xxx original mile, unrestored, 50 Ford buisness coupe (really hard to let that one go). Now I just drive 06 Dodge...WHAT?! It was either that or take the bus and I ain't takin' the bus. I joined the H.A.M.B cuz I plan on building my first Hot Rod and am gonna need alot of help, so I'll be chewing some ears around here. I hope to get the $$$ to puchase a 29 roadster body by the end of this year or early next. I wan't to build a traditional, post war, flathead powered, 100% Ford, Hi-boy. Hopefully I can meet some locals on the H.A.M.B since I just moved from Los Angeles to Scottsdale less than a year ago. So untill then I'll probably probibly get back to the lurking.

Welcome, from south scottsdale. I hate not having a hot rod or custom to work on. I've been in the same spot as you before. It sucks. Time and working hard took care of the problem though, now I've got too much going on with two projects. Hope you find something soon. John

Hey John, nice to know there are some locals on the board. I live off of 82nd St. and Chapparelle. I don't know if thats south Scottsdale but I know it ain't North. Yes it does suck not having a project (too much time on the couch) this is the first time Ive been without in a decade. I plan on hitting the Classic car and bike swap next month for a look. Meanwhile here are some pics of my old Buick and Shoebox (not a seld but sweet anyhow). The other pics are from pics I took from the 98 Antique Nationals in Palmdale, Ca. that I just dug up.

Nice cars you used to have. I'm resisting the urge to by a 51 ford that's in queen creek. I really want a 30 31 model a coupe. I live by 78th & Thomas. If you want to stop by sometime and check out the cars, I'll pm my adress and phone # Hopefully the 47 convertible will be ready for a road test next weekend. John

nice rides and fairly nice people too. if your out on the west side 83rd ave and beardsley (if memory serves me correctly) at a safeway parking lot also on saturday night you will see some nicer hot rods and stockers. you dont have to put up with all the rice burners, but you dont get all the bikes and other cool stuff
