My introduction to Hot Rodding started at 9 years old when I started working at a service station where the owner had a Funny Car. All the local Hot Rod guys hung out there so I started hanging out and the owner gave me a job. It was really cool. The muscle car era was just begining. 1962. I worked at service stations, wrenching on cars until I got out of high school. Married my high school sweetheart , started a family, joined the Steamfitters Union Apprenticeship, got divorced  , became a journeyman and started all over.

I remarried, had more children. As of today I've been married for 26 years. All my children have married now except for my youngest son who is in the Marine Corps serving in Bahrain. I have 2 grandsons and a granddaughter on the way.

As a Steamfitter I specialized in fitting and welding pipe. I had a side line welding business where I attended all the races and worked on cars at Memphis Motor Sports Park in the 80's. I've built tube frame cars and choppers.

At the present time I am Business Agent for the Steamfitters Union. I have 2 motorcycles an '83 Harley chopper and a 100th Anniversary Road King. I also have a 1929 Ford Tudor 4-Banger and a 1953 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup. The "A" Model has had a total restoration. I bought it to build a Hot Rod but it is so nice I havn't done anything to it yet. The ole Chevy truck is a rust bucket that needs everything done to it.

My daily driver is a Dodge truck. Yeah, it's got a Hemi! :p

I'd like to find a "b" model block to build for my "a" model. I want to put a Hot Rod 4-banger in it. And I'd like to get ahold of a 261 for the Chevy. As with most everybody in the working class my problem is coming up with the dough to get them.
