hi everybody,
as my handle implies, i'm the proud owner of a 65 buick riviera with the 401 nailhead motor.
since the nailhead is a popular rodders motor, i figured i'd join up and learn all about how to rebuild an old nailhead.
right now, i'm looking to rebuild the original rochester 4gc carb that came on the motor. the choke was broken when i first bought the car, and i always assumed that the coil broke, but when i just recently went to check it out, i was suprised to find the coil was intact. somehow, the end of the coil is supposed to attach to a linkage that controls the primary's air inlet, but there is nothing there anymore for it to grab on to??? does anybody know what i'm talking about?
thanks,
dave
