I finally tore apart my roadster.Need to paint frame add body webbing and fluids. It is hard to take it all apart when it is sitting there looking like a car. This Sunday was a nice sunny day and I yanked it apart by myself in a few hours. Will need to have a couple pals over to lift the body off.My plan is to drive the car by the end of MAY!I'll keep ya'll posted.....

C'mon VAP...I lifted my '30 "A" Tudor body off the frame, and back on the frame by MYSELF!!! And I'm a skinny ass kid...

Then again, it wasn't very easy manuvering the fucking thing around without dropping it on the concrete...

It's cause of these 'lil Pistolas I carry... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

What was wrong with it?

Nothing wrong,it was just a grande mock-up.I need to put it together for real this time around.
I made a move from Seattle to Denver and had to stick it together quickly to move it.No u-joint in it etc...
Plus a want to paint the frame black lacquer to match the body.

thats looking cool, and itll be fun to put it all back together again, as if youre building a new project all over!

Hey, in the second pic, i see someone standing there who could help lift the body, and what was wrong with the silver jack stands in the third pic? haha! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Hey Eric, how'd you get that body and frame stuck on the wall in the fifth pic...I don't see any fasteners, chains, cables or ?? anywhere...and why'd you put it up there anyway...keep it out of the way?

NICE, keep us posted. If I didn't have a chopped A in the garage, a similar deuce would be my second choice.

It will be nice to see you get that roadster on the road. May huh? Just in time for the Ford Picnic! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif How do you keep that garage floor so clean. No oil whatsoever. Looks like Rolf's floor.

You should show these guys the early, before picture of the body you resurrected. You are definitely the man. Pat yourself on the back. You deserve it. This is the part of building a car that takes the most committment. The act of taking apart your dearly beloved mock up to actually make it into a car is very difficult to do. It's what separates the wannabe's from the car builders. Now, you are a carbuilder. Way to go!!!

Hello Eric,

Wish I was there, or you here for that matter, I might lend you a hand, and I could really use yours. I think Bill is getting tired of me watching him build my car! So I could watch you build it instead. Gosh... all this watching is really preparing me for my next project... a 2004 Audi A4 wagon. Just kidding... and my hands are all banged up to prove it! Where did I put those gloves? Would like the wagon though. Keep up the good work, that will be a beautiful finished car soon! Can't wait to pull up along side it in my coupe! Git that wiring here... pronto, I want it done... yesterday! Wait a minute... "end of may?" you better get goin. Wait till you discover that your driveline ain't been true to ya!
