I have a shop manual but it doesn't state anywhere the procedure. On some of my other cars you just take out the 2 bottom bolts and lift it up. The 2 bottom bolts are already gone, but I can't lift it up for shit. Am I missing some other bolts or should I just eat some more Wheaties? I'm going back out to work, will check back later.

You may have to lift hard enough to crush the mouse nests inside the springs.
Are there another pair of bolts reached from inside the trunk?

Probably too many heavyweights do the wild thang in that seat over the last 50 years. Are there a lot of stains on it too http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My car's not a Ford, but the seat back is bolted in like 6 places onto the bracing that goes across the back under the package shelf.

I just pulled the back seat out of my 49 today...When you get the bottom out, there are 2 screws near the floor that hold the back in...They take a 3/8 socket, then you just lift up on the back and it's done...

You know fuel pump, I thought the same thing and you are probably right. When you sit on my back seat you basically sit on the floor, after the snap crackle and pop of the broke springs. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get some ass in that back seat yet, but my hopes are up!
Ass for the mouse shit yeah there was plenty under the bottom after I scooted it forward. No money though, damn

daren,
If these old cars could talk I can only imagine the stories they could tell. A year or so ago there was post about the stuff that guys found when they took their cars apart. Some of them were unbelievable.
