just a quick update on my 52 chevy...

the headers and radiator are in...It should be started up this week and off to the body shop...It may not go till the following week though as Bob has to get ready for the march meets (stuff for the swap and the motorhome).

Well, I am heading out to strip the underside of my hood...looks like someone painted it with a brush at some point and time...

That's coming along nicely, Rally clean all business engine compartment and I like the novel door mounted oil pressure guage...

thanks...most of the work credits go to Kenny and now Bob though...
I did some of the original cleaning...nothing like what it is now...
I have been outside all day removing what I think is around 8 layers of paint on the bottom side of the hood of the car...what a mess!
there looks to be around three layers of paint brush paint on it too!!! I am down to bare metal now mostly though...
so far the colors I have found under there are black (couple layers), green, yellow, silver, and grey primer.

I made the mistake of trying to smooth it out at first and painting some black undercoat on it...

well off to do some more sanding, wirewheeling, and scraping.
