Man you guys are awsome artist.
About 30 years ago Easyriders showed some early David Mann art. It was very crude. But I looked at it and said "hey I can draw like that" so I thought with practice .......
So I drew up a guy on a Harley in the wind. It was crude but I didn't think it was that bad.
I showed it to a friend who is an execelent artist. He laughed and made lots of bad comments about it. I have never tried to draw since.
But you guys make me want to try again! Of course I would hesitate to show any of it to any one. LOL.
Is David Mann still around? Always loved his art.

....I'd show you.... but then I'd have to kill you....
It would be neat to see a few different tech threads on how everyone creates their art... there are so many different styles represented here, vector-wise... I'm sure you'd learn a variety of techniques...

With all the cool Tiki art this week I thought I'd post a pic of one I did from a stump in my front yard awhile back. Can't remember if I posted it when I did it so here it is. @ 6' tall and all done with a small chainsaw and 4 1/2" grinder.

WOW! cool stuff everyone!!! I really dig all the tiki art this week. I'll jump on the tiki band wagon, too...A friend of mine is making these longboards, here in S.A. They're called "Garage Bomb 54's"...they're 54 inches long, 13 ply, 3/4" Baltic Birch, 40" wheelbase. Usually he stains them as per the customer's color request, but I woodburned the tiki and stained the deck myself. I also made the grip "tape" with silica sand and clear. Cool, huh?!

This is not really hot rod art, but its all I have for now. Old pic I did while still in the Army, there is a little story attached to this.
We had a John Deere 'Gator' that we used for patient removal from the Drop Zone, the thing had a top speed of 28Kmh. As the Parachute Training School (PTS) was next to a Navy base we had to cross that to get to the DZ. Speed limit on base of 40kmh, we were always getting angry calls from the Navy Police for speeding on base, huh?? WTF?.
This is my idea of how they saw the gator.

I did this a couple weekends ago for one of the kids that volunteer at my shop. Joey's 22 and he's building this '76 Tahitian speedboat. 383 stroker, tunnel ram...
Joey has done tons of work for Conder Custom, expecting only to learn as much as he can. So, after he did all the body work and prep on this thing, Joey dropped it off and I hooked him up, no charge. He'll be blocking the art flat and putting the final clear on it. - Thanks Joey!
