Ever see that guy that got out of his late-model driver and went right over to the more rare Studes and DeSotos and tended to chat with anyone that would listen? That might ahve been me. ;)
I've been interested in pre-'66 cars (especially late 40's-mid 50's) for quite a while, just unfortunately after HS when I could have learned skills to actually work on them w/o spending a ton of cash on doing so. So this leads to my board-name; Wanna-B.
I do plan on getting a 'runs well' that I can learn on, preferably a flathead as even I couldn't mess one of those up. ;) I like the body styles on the 'less-cool' cars; I figure enough folks have 5-window specials and bowtie freakout machines so I'm mainly interested in the 'other' end of custom cars. Taking the 'un-cool' cars and making them fun. Late 40's Mercs are cool, I just like De Sotos from that era (especially fordors) more.
I may have been seen yammering on other boards or maybe not. :)
