Somehow my last thread entered the Twilight Zone, http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif, so I'm reposting....

Hand lettered signs and vehicle lettering, pinstriping and custom MDO (sign board) wall art. Tool boxes, toilet seats, glove boxes, ceramic figures, etc...if One-Shot will stick to it, I'll try to paint it for ya'!

Thanks for the interest,
Dan

OK, here's the testimonial for Mr Barnett.

A year or so ago I had a call out to all the hambers that were of the pinstriping persuasion. I need a cool old styled lettering done for the nostalgia gasser I was building. (Most of you know the story, but for those of you who don't here it is.) I posted pics of the car saying I needed someone that could take a blank canvas and hit the era that I was looking for...a mid 60's gasser.

Dan contacted me saying he was the man for the job. So we agreed to have him letter the car. I was thinking this would set me back some serious change, since Dan was pretty well known in the art circles. He flew out from San Antonio, with his paint brushes in hand ready to go. He brought samples of various styles of text to use as a reference. Basically, I couldn't make up my mind so I told Dan kinda what I wanted and for him to use his own artistic judgement. He went with it and it turned out spot on.

Evereyone raves about the lettering and I tried to get him to sign it....he's too modest. His price was really reasonable and he has turned out to be a great guy to work with. I have pics of the whole process from start to finish if anyone is interested. He will do all of my lettering work from now on.

Thanks again Dan.

Dan can make his brushes and paint do some very un-Christian things.
he was born with the name Mack Langnickel, is a cyborg, but through his talents was able to remove the bolts in his neck and pass for human....well, a Hi-Quality human.
plus, his van rules.

he has a deep understanding and mastery of letterforms and an innate sense of where it all goes.

i bought a sign for my tattoo shop from mr. barnett several years ago. VERY cool sign, VERY reasonable price.
the sign says: "tip the artist, it's easy!"
it works too...people see it and give me more money. thanks dan.

I just bought 2 pieces of art from the man. Everything about the whole transaction was top notch. The Panels f#ckin' rock! The shipping & packaging aces. The price, way to low for what you get.....

here's one dan did for mrs tredboy. he knocked it out quick and it's spot on for what mrs tredboy had in her mind.
i would also like to add that the packaging was bullet proof, no way this thing is gonna see damage from the post office.

highly recommended!!!

<font color="green">It's true!!!

Barnett's the dreamiest and as President of the WorldWide Barnett Stalkers Club, TM, I would like to say that he is not only one damn fine artist but a heck of a guy to boot.

I am the proud new owner of "Drool Racer."

I like to think I was the inspiration for this one....

Thanks for the support everyone...here, on the HAMB-O-Dex, and for all the years in the "real world". However...I need to make a new HAMB-O-DEX listing for my tattooing since I have practically retired from sign painting. I do very little signage, now. A limited amount of pinstriping. Tattooing is the #1 priorityat this point.

Thanks again for all the support!
Dan

P.S. Alex (Chucklehead Al) REALLY has bought ALOT of my work...including his first, and only, 3 tattoos!
