Being a junior member noticing others in "member" or "stranger" status, was wondering how to become a member (and what a "stranger" is http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif ).

I was wondering about that too.....
That stranger below my user name is making me feel strange... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

After your 100th post, your status changes from "Junior Member" to "Member". "Stranger" to "Member" happens in a similar way after some small amount of posts. (I don't know the exact number, but I'd guess 10-20.)

After 15,000 posts, your status changes to "You really need to get a job before you have to post from a Whirlpool box underneath the bridge by the river."

I reached 120, but I'm still showing up as a "Junior Memeber". Is that a software problem with the new HAMB update?

Doesn't look like it. If you click on "FAQ's" on the upper menu bar and open up the thread "What is the string that appears beneath my username in posts", it lists 100 posts as the number of posts needed to go from "Junior Member" to "Member". No biggie - just wondering why it didn't change. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The FAQ doesn't match reality exactly, I think it was provided by the InfoPop bulletin board guys. (You'll notice that no one has the title "old hand" or "veteran", as suggested in the FAQ.) Ryan has the option to configure things differently, which I think he's done.

Raaf is probably right--Ryan may have upped the posts required to get the 'member' tag.
