I saw the "Gone T" in latest Rolls and Pleats, and am thinking of going the way he did, and using A rails with a 26-27 T coupe just the same. Have any of you seen this done before or do you have any input on doing this? I realize that the A rails would have to be narrowed, so what would be the best way to go about this? He left the stock front A crossmember in and removed the center and rear members, and custom made his own, so the article reads. Anyone got pics of similiar setups? Thanks!!

John I have my T touring on a Model A frame and will soon be putting the T coupe I just got on one. Its not that hard. The rear mounts are almost the same as an A and then you just make some new tabs to mount the rest of the frame. I will scan my photos when I get a chance and post them....Danny

thanks man, I just hate T rails. they are ugly. Suicide front ends are cool and all (such as slazzens-he's a ruler)
but i like frame horns stickin out there.
I am using a 26 T roadster body on A rails and there was no narrowing needed.

I am working on a '27 T Coupe.
The car was started in the mid 50s by the dad of the current owner, but never finished.
It had a heavy channel over a Model A Frame which left next to no interior space, and the Radiator sat to high to match the cowl.
So we decided to build it as a Highboy on modified Deuce rails instead, ( no channel ).
The dad has seen it like that, and he likes it...

The 28 A frame even has the holes to mount a T body.
Henry was covering his options as the A was way behind in getting into production.
My 26T coupe with 28-9 fenders was a practically a bolt down job.
I believe the T holes were in all A frames but maybe someone else can answer.

Heres the T touring I had in the past on A frame. I was able to use the stock rear mount on both piece then made these for the center and front mounts. No narrowing of the frame...Danny
