I am looking for something to get me by. I have one that was rebuilt and something is wrong so needs to come out. I would like to put one in that works so I can actually drive this car. Any help would be great! PM me if you want.

Why don't you describe what's wrong with the one you have?
Maybe it's a simple fix, in spite of what Ammco says.

Mike, you might want to take it by one of our member shops & let them drive it. Call me & I'll give you a few names of shops in your area. DAVE

Dr. J, he's been rebuilding the thing for the last few weeks and now that it is back together, he doesn't have a third gear, at least that was the deal the last time I talked to him. He's not sure if it is a stuck valve, a bad governor, or anything else. The Lone Star Round Up is in about 3 weeks and I'm sure he wants to have a working tranny to make it there, something he can drive around for a few weeks and come to trust before heading down there.
I'm sure he wants a known good tranny so he can still drive the car while he sorts out this one. And so he can avoid taking it to places like Aamco.

Dr. J,

Like Deyomatic said this has been a few days on going now. Shifts pretty much told me what is wrong and I just want to get something in there to let me drive the car and worry about fixing this tranny later.
