Gettin' Better Everyday - Spacetruck update.

Well, I keep throwing crap back together and making a little progress every day. Here is a pic of the bed on the truck. I stll haven't painted the little trim pieces on either side of the decklid, and I still need to put all of the stainless on it too. The exhaust is on though. I worked on stripping all of the crap I have left to paint this weekend and I filled all the holes and peaked the grille a little. I still need to putty and paint it though. I am running out of time, it keeps getting nicer out so I will be getting busy at work soon. I worked all day yesterday with the garage doors open for the first time this year.

You do know that 59 Buick lights will fit. I have a set of 59's on my 60, they're more rocketship-ish. Look very cool at night. The 59 bezel's are f'n huge compared to the 60's. I think they'd make a perfect start for some custom lights, if you're wanting to go that route. No "cutouts" like the 60 bezels have for those chrome doohickies that sit on the lens. Would make the job of custom lenses easier.

Fraz, I did not know that. Yeah, those 60 lights are a pain in the ass to put together, and even then, the little chrome do dads fit like shit. Mine need rechromed too, that may be next winter's project unless I find a set of nice 59's somewhere. Thanks for the tip.
