Tri-Five help!?

For those who have and automatic car and have put a th350 in place of a powerglide in what have you done for the shift linkage? I know there is a kit that is sold, but I'm wondering if anyone has made their own.

Im working on the same thing right now...only its in a 54 chevy that had a manual trans....I just got some heim ends and some 3/8 rod, threaded the ends of the rod, then I made a lever that bolts to the gear selector shaft on the trans. I think the set up is pretty much what you can buy off the shelf, only I have about 8 bucks in the whole thing.

I put a 350/350 in my 57 Chevy and used the shift linkage that came from the Chevy factory. It was a 6/powerglide
