Greetings all.
Newb here, with a 1930 5-window coupe, in Boston. It's rough, but I'm not building a show car. Plans are to box the frame, flatty if I can find one and afford it, and satin black. Don't know much about Model A's right now, but I hope to hang out and learn.
I'll try to put up some pics

Ah a barn fresh one :-)
Call it a 30 Stanard Coupe, all were 5 windows until 1932 when the 3 window came out.
Id suggest getting "How to build a Traditional Hotrod" By Mike Bishop & Vern Tardel ISBN 0-7603-0900-0
Gave me a lot of ideas and know how when I did my body and frame.

Guys, thanks for the help!
Eric, thanks for the terminology, a 30 Standard Coupe. And yes, I've got some reading to do.
Scott, I'm from the Western burbs, about 30 miles outside Boston.
Rolf, that's some very nice work on that Model A index. I will read that in detail when I have time. I've seen pics of your car before. That's where I'd like to go for the most part.

I am also a very green newbie. I just bought my first project, also a 30 5 window with a 49 Merc flathead and partially built rolling chassis.
I would love to share ideas and learn with you.
Anyone have other good reference reading matter. I have Bishop and Tardel's book and it is very helpful, but I need more detailed basics on chassis building, body mounting, body work etc. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
