anyone have a 56 chevy

I was wondering if anyone on here had a 56 chevy project or finished car.I'd like to see some pics. I was trying to post some pics of mine but they are too big.Anyway, I just don't see many customs of this year.Maybe I'm just bored.

Alleycat, Butt Reynolds has a top notch custom 56. Do a search of his posts and you should find it. My 55 wagon is in more of a early sixties surf style not really a custom.

My first car was a '56 Chevy Sedan Delivery. Got T-boned in the first year I started driving by a one ton van full of Catholic School girls. Really!

It was a work in progress, had rusty floors and those hideous van widnows cut into the sides. I had managed to fix the floors and repair the dash. I started making some custom parts for it too. Not bad for a 16 year old kid!

The car in the background is my dads '56 two door wagon, that car was super clean and rust free.

Oh and if you notice the billet clamp around the exhaust pipes, you have to understand that the picture was taken in in 1986 and I did make that myself. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here's mine. It's not really a Chevy, sort of... It's a Pontiac sedan delivery, only built in Canada. It came from the factory with a 261 six and three speed. It now has a 350, th350, and since the pic was taken, there is now some really nice rust free fenders hanging on the front end

Uuuuuhhhmmm, no they were the pimply faced variety without breasts. The driver was a dickhead too, came out of a residential side street at about 40 mph onto a busy four lane where I was.

The car is still around and looks just like that picture, John Chambers Chevrolet Parts has it.

I have 3 of em but 2 are strictly crap for parts , Not much of a custom 55-7 chevy fan myself (except the mild lt 50's -early 60's street customs like Butt Reynolds 56),but thats me, its not to say they are'nt out there or kool, just not to my taste.I like drag /gasser tri five chevy's ,but to each his own + enjot em no matter what or how its built, (About those 20's - Butt-GACK! lol )
