Steve Moal built roadster. lots of cool details and early Indy car inspired touches. weather you think it's "too much" or not you can't deny the skill and craftsmanship in this one. alot of "buzz" about this one proly getting the Ridler. we'll know on Sunday...

That yellow RPU is a buddy of mine's. His name is Ron Wiggins from Bloomington, IL.
The details on that truck will blow your mind! To bad he put that body on there to cover up that frame. Unbelievable work and it was all done in his little garage. He has his own bridgeport and made EVERYTHING on that truck himself then had it chromed. It started as a 2 door sedan that he drug out of a junkyard many years ago. He has been working on it for probably 10-15 years straight every night until midnight and all weekend long. That is no joke either. He was invited to the autorama and the thing wasn't even done. He had to hustle to get it there. If he is around talk to him and tell him Aaron from back in IL says "hi" he is a very cool guy. I'm glad he got it there.

Cute purse.
Oh, and thanks for the pics...especially the Lil Coffin...that thing has been looking fairly goofy for several years...if this is a new one, at least its closer to the original...I have probably purchased 5 or 6 of the model of that...its one of my favorites.

Me, Brush and the Phillapino House-Boy ran into HighPitch Scott from Scott Hot Rods. He seems like a pretty nice guy. We were busting his chops about the HAMR's not liking his truck. (apparently he's never heard of the HAMB...Brush gave him the details).
Anyway, we spent quite a few minutes talking to him and the guy presents himself as a real pro. He gave us some details on how they film the RIDES program.
Whether you like it or not, the truck sure looks a hell of a lot better in red paint than flat black.
Even Brush, who is many-a-man's idol, had to agree.

thanks Bill. it took me a minute to figure out what the hell you were talking about.
we went to Outback on the way home and Kris went to the bathroom first thing. ofcourse the waitress comes up and there in front of me sits Kris purse. the waitress gave me the same compliment. Kris is pretty proud of that purse. she gets lots of compliments, even when SHE is carrying it http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif...

Lil Coffin ... I built that model kit and took it apart and rebuilt it so many times when I was a kid .... loved that car and the skeleton that went with it. I can't wait to see this one tomorrow. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

From what I gather, the guy who built this, took 10 inches out of the back of this car, maybe someone who spoke to him about this could elaborate.

The blue tub is the one I was talking about earlier. It started out as a 2dr. He shortened it 10 inches and leaned the back portion forward (like a vicky). It was an awesome car and the flatty power just made my day.
