Germ showed a shot of this on his"Barris stuff" post. Lurker Mick says that the owner of this '52 Ford Victoria was Jerry Quesnell from Venice Beach, CA. Any info or pics on this car would be GREATLY appreciated.

Based on germ's description of the pic, I assume the car appeared in Motorlife magazine , mid 50's sometime.

Before he had that car, he owned a Barris chopped Merc. It was on the cover of Hop Up in March of 1953 and was called Jerry's Purple Rage.

I had asked Junior(Barris' Painter) if it was the same guy. He confirmed that it was. Times and trends change, so I guess he had to have a newer car to keep up. His 1949 Merc is my favorite of all the Barris mercs, and that is saying alot.

I would scan the cover if I had a scanner, maybee some one else can?

Thanks for the larger pic and info. I'd really like to find out more about this car. Was it ever featured in any of the popular mags of the day? If anyone else has stuff on it, It'd be cool to see. Is that a '55 Ford grille?
