View Full Version : Sorta OT, progress on the new house/shop.
Good news on the land front! All the financing is looking fine. I didnt realize how skweaky clean my credit was/is!! Our new banker is impressed with our debt/earing ratio, I told her it is easy when you dont make much http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. And the good news today from the home appraiser, my place has tripled in value since I bought it 6 years ago! I might be able to build a more deluxe shop than I had planned! Thanks to everyone that gave me info on my shop size post last week. I am looking smaller rather than bigger to start, approx 30x40 with loft.

cool, I'm in the same position with the financing of mine, except the price of steel buildings is down so I'm going to put up a big ass shop. The loft idea is really cool I wish I could afford that.
Steel Truss or wooden pole? I ask because in some areas a pole structure is taxed at a lower rate than steel. I origionally thought I was going to do steel trusses but found this.
