Ok, I hit my head real hard and I forgot what day it was... actually I'm just really excited about some recent art stuff andI couldn't wait to share. I've been working with Travis (WLSPDSHOP) on some stuff for his coupe and this is what came of it. I'm going to add a few things to the color version and sell some prints:

I love the color/shading, it adds another dimension to your work.

Here is a pinstripe paint color display I did for ALSA, it's 11" X 28". It should be coming to a paint store/dealer near you soon.

Nate, I love your style man, I wish I could sketch cars like you do. I love the pencil marks and the hand-drawn quality of the sketches, so to me the cleaned-up and colourized version loses something (like taking a barn-find car and turning it into a high dollar ride). Still very cool and great work.

Awww, what the hell, Another one....

And some info for those who like to read a little about the art. What you see going on here is my attempt to paint with acrylics and make them look as nice as one shot.

Now, working on canvas, thats more difficult than painting one shot on metal..at least its more difficult to get the paint to look relatively smooth. One shot lays down like butta for the most part and with acrylics, you gotta work at it. ehhhh too much info......Its an ongoing process. I'm pleased with the results. ;)

I'm also working on blending the acrylics with the airbrush to somewhat get the effects of painting with oil paints. I'm trying to get the paintings to look like I didn't use an airbrush....more or less. Sometimes I really like the look the airbrush makes. I really get off on the juxtaposition of the fuzzy airbrushing against the hard lines of the outlines and brushed on acrylic paint.

ehhhh....again, probably too much info.

bought this bowling pin lamp the other week and added some dark-blue and white stripes to it. once the light is switched on the design somehow changes (different contrasts). just managed to get a hold of 2 more of these lamps today, so expect to see some more like these in the next few weeks.

Added some stripes and finished the tank from last week and a new tank from this week( I forgot to get pics of the rest of the parts I did but I'll get them next week) The flamed tank was painted gold then striped with bright red one shot and kandied with winefire , It worked out great because the bright red goes from an orange/red to black under the kandy as the light hits it different. I should be done with another one later today I'll try to remember to get pics before I send it off:rolleyes:

I agree! It's been said before, but the art show just keeps getting better.....

I did a few more on a slow friday afternoon at the museum. A roadster, a plane, and Littleman's masterpiece.

These are really quick and sloppy, 5 minute sketches

We're moving (hopefully) in the next 2-3 months. God help my wife as all those bare walls are going to need filled and there's nothing more I'd like to see than all "this" on 'em.

nothing to exciting, just getting ready to move out for the semester and found a few class projects.

first is a box thats held shut with a thin-ish peice of black elastic with a saftey pin holding it together, pop the pin and it opens up. crappy pix but oh well.

A project I've been working on for awhile.Just finished it tonight and it's to be shipped out tomorrow.A Rat Fink resin statue originally scheduled to go to the opening of the Ed Roth movie and then to the Rat Fink Reunion in Utah.
Casting was modified by the addition of a new arm(and removal of the old one)to hold one of my wood striping brushes. The surfboard is carved out of 1" basswood with a plexiglass skeg.Mounted on an old 1-Shot can.

The second is a flame job I did last week.I layed them out;Rich sprayed them, and I striped them.Also the lettering on the liftgate.
