Latest Reputation Comments??? WTH???

What is this in my profile- why do I have to control over it and why does it not say who left the comments? Is this my HAMB concious talking to me? Who else reads these comments? Why can't I find the function to leave these "latest reputation comments" myself? Is there a "PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE" button somewhere I am missing?

I think to add to a persons reputation you click on the funny lookin icon [beside the red exclamation point] at the bottom of their "Avitar" box..
BTW what is that damn thing supposed to be?:D

I looked all over Jim's page and then my own and could find no clue to what any of this is about. Are there secret codicils to Public Profiles that I am not seeing or is this some sort of manifestation of paranoid schizophrenia?? I am mystified!

I dont think this feature is a good thing- its sorta like having a box of rotten eggs there- real~HANDY~ to throw at the person who posts!:D
Also how are we gonna report a bad post when WE DO IT OURSELF....there is no red exclamation point on our own avitar!

OK, I see the exclamation point now. I was looking on the profile pages...so that allows sending of nasty messages? Why exactly...why not just use a PM?? Is this way anonymous or are the messages attributed?? I think that if they are anonymous, this is not a good thing.

And I think it's only you that can read/see them...I have five such "reps" on my profile...and comments...and I think it was the Boss (Ryan) that put them there...nothing to worry about as I don't think it's going any farther than that...yet!!!

Yes, only you can see your own. Just like letters to a magazine, don't expect anybody to waste their time on something positive. I had 4 negative ones all anonymous, but I could still tell by looking at the thread they were linked to who they probably came from. It's a sour grapes button with no name of who keyed your car or TP'ed your house.

Not everyone wastes their time on strickly the negitive. Should I tell you how many positive ones I've had within the last 6 months? Not really necessary I guess to make my point that there are still alot of folks that appreciate each other on this board. The reputation "button" is just one way that folks can state their feelings without getting all mushy in a PM or email.

I get them quite often. Funny thing is I can see who left mine, so some people may experience a few more difficulties than others.;)

Thanks all for the latest additions to my "Reputation". They are funny! I didn't mean I can't take the negative comments- just funny to see them 3 months after the fact and see someone say annonymously "what an asshole". I like the new ones that say "JimA doesn't suck" and "JimA is dead sexy". I'm not really an ego monster- just more vocal than most- it's just part of my internet alternate personality. In a room of real people I'm the quietest person there.
