I would think that some HAMBers are also HAMers, and know more than a little about vintage car radios.

I was thinking of getting a Becker Mexico, because of its cassette player and transistors. I think I'm looking for the earliest style available with transistors.

Does anyone here restore old car radios? Or, do you know where I could get one (hopefully at a decent price)? Or just a good reference for early car radios?

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Try Becker North America in Upper Saddle River NJ.They have a website. If they can't help you,try a Mercedes Benz dealer that deals in vintage parts;they might have a source.

Watch eBay, too. I notice that there are some guys who sell a lot of clean looking early Blaupunkts.
