Photochop help on merc project. please

I have this 54 merc project to do for a guy mild custom he wans the regular shave job lower it, dechrome and maybee stretch the quarters a bit. some help would be cool thanks or any other mods. he is open to anything but he is tall so no choppin' later and thanks in advance for the help drew

Drew, can you wheel that thing outside and get a little closer? You'll get better results.

Shaved the nose,and door handles,
lowered suspension,reworked both wheel openings,
stretched rear quarters.removed some of the side chrome.

If you are going to extend the quarters anyway, how about extending them down also. To match a lowered rear bumper.
If you're going to scrape, might as well REALLY scrape.

unk,i dont care too much for shavin the chrome off the rear fenders..those spears were added a lot to cars to make em look futuristic or somethin...takin em off makes it look too much like a 53-54 chevy or 53-54 ford!but other than that,it's cool.

And they were removed from alot of Customs,
to make them look less like a production car trying to look Futuristic.
It's called Minimalism.

As for youc customers car, you should sell it & buy him a car w/2 doors. Or call that Cleen Rock dude & have him build it. I heard he is the premier rod & kustom builder in the area. Sounds like you could take some tips from him.

Thanks for the help. That quarter panel idea is a good one mike we did it on my pops 49 chevy and it looked killer low as hell and you still have a good ride. I like some chrome on a kustom we will see what I come up with,

Karl I have the queer eye for queer guy so tell mike I would blow my whole wad for him!!

I will try to role her outside if it's start weird how kustomizing goes make it look cool before it runs good.. thanks again

It'd take some radical surgery, but how 'bout cuttin' out the posts and lenthening the front doors...do a carson-style top and lower the car.

Here's a pic of a custom 54 Merc from e-bay a while back. I love 52-54 Fords and Mercs, and this one is way up near the top of my all time faves list!!

Chop the front seat first and move it back and see how tall he is then! it needs the top down. if you get a hard top windshield it will give two inches of chop with no sweat http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
